This is the number one question from new parents. We have been running summer camps since 1998. We completely understand the need to keep campers hydrated and cool during the summer months. We love our facilities. They each have an awesome indoor gym, classrooms and cafeteria. The kids have a great time playing sports and games inside! If a sport is outside, ex. Archery, the staff is very aware of the camper needs. The campers have fun playing inside and outside throughout the day.
Kids Camp: Ages 4.5 – 12. Campers must turn 5 by December 31st, 2019 to attend camp.
Leadership Camp: Ages 13 – 16.
We work hard to keep our group ratios consistent. Please make sure all friend requests are sent to the office prior to the Wednesday before the camp week you want the request. If the children vary in age they may be moved to the younger age group. This is common with sibling requests.
**In order for us to match requests, the friend’s name must match exactly the way the friend registered. For example: Zachary Smith must be Zachary, not Zach.
Snacks: Animal crackers, goldfish or wheat thins are provided to all campers in the morning.

Camp Hubbard hosts an Open House each year. This is a great opportunity to tour the facility, learn about a typical day, ask questions and meet some of our staff. The campers can see where they will be attending camp!
Afternoon free swim is offered at all Camp locations. Hubbard Certified Lifeguards or city lifeguards guard the pool depending on the location. There will be Lifeguard Certified Hubbard staff on deck during swim time observing our campers even when city lifeguards are on duty. Additional Hubbard staff will be in the water watching the campers.
Each location administers a swim test. Campers must swim the width (about 20 yards) of the pool independently. Campers who do not pass the swim test will be given a life vest (US Coast Guard approved) to wear while swimming.
All pools have a shallow end for the less advanced swimmers.
*The weeks of May 28th and July 29th there is no swimming due to the city pools being closed.
Small group ratios help us foster an inclusive environment. We group campers by age. The age range for groups are determined by the number and age of campers registered for each week. Each group has up to 22 campers. We have a male and female counselor with each group. A coach is also at different sports. It is the goal of our camp staff to make each and every camper feel welcome, safe, and successful. Each group receives a Name - Diamondbacks, Coyotes, Cardinals. The campers love being in a specific group and representing their group name.
