Our Story
Camp Hubbard, established in 1998, is a family-owned summer camp offering one week sessions to campers 4.5 to 14 years old. What started as a fun way for our owners to keep their kids busy in the summer, has grown into an industry-leading camp across multiple locations in the valley!
Camp Hubbard is a fun, active, unplugged environment run by a staff who live our Core Values with the intention of developing Skills to Last a Lifetime.

Our Philosophy
Sports are at the heart of everything we do at Camp Hubbard. We believe it is important that every kid is introduced to sports at an early age, not only for the physical skill and exercise, but for the discipline taught, social interaction fostered, and emotional regularity needed to play. Sports are a catalyst for helping build self-confidence and kids of strong character.
Campers connect with others, make new friends, try new things, and laugh! It is a true pleasure to produce camper smiles every day and to see campers take pride in their accomplishments!

We love our staff! We pride ourselves on selecting the best staff for the job. Our staff has amazing energy and passion for working with children. They bring fun, joy, and laughter to our days. They form bonds with the campers while supporting them and guiding them through the different activities, friendships, and emotions they may encounter throughout the summer.
Ann Marie
Biography
“Put your name on it”, is a common phrase that you will hear from Ann Marie. She says it with pride because she has lived it for years as she works to improve and grow the Hubbard Family Swim Schools and Camp Hubbard. She has put her heart and soul into the business that her parents, Bob and Kathy Hubbard, founded in 1998. She believes that the Hubbard Camps and Swim Schools provide tremendous opportunities that impact the families in our communities.
Ann Marie understands the importance of a strong business model while believing in the reason she is in business; to better the lives of children and impact staff. Ann Marie has been director of the Sports Camps since 1996 and helped her parents start the Hubbard Family Swim School in 1998. In 2004, she joined Hubbard Family Swim School full-time with her husband, Pat Sunderhaus. Ann Marie spends her summers focusing on the camps. As COO of Hubbard Family Swim Schools, she oversees operations for the swim schools.
Susie
Executive Director
Biography
Susie joined Hubbard in early 2019 and has served at both the swim school and as the Executive Director of Camp Hubbard. Susie's time at Hubbard is now spent at our Mesa/Riverview location as General Manager.
Susie was born in Kentucky and grew up in Iowa. She went to Wartburg College where she majored in English and History and played NCAA softball and tennis. She earned a Masters's degree in Nonprofit Management from Arizona State University.
She loves tennis, traveling, hiking, camping, and enjoying what Arizona has to offer! She is on a quest to go to all 423 units of the National Park System - she’s halfway there!
